In one of my favorite books "Laddie" by Gene Stratton Porter the older brother and hero to Little sister says "The Way to Be Happy Is to Be Good"
2 Nephi 5:27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.
At our recent Stake conference one of the speakers mentioned this scripture and how he didn't think it was an accident that Nephi's people were able to "live after the manner of happiness" after he had built a temple for his people (see 2 Nephi 5:16)
I love the temple it is a place of great peace and each time I enter into the doors I have a great feeling of "coming home". It is as if my burdens and cares of the world are laid aside and I am filled with light and power.
I have been trying to go to the temple every week and when I do everything else in my life is better. I am more able to find the strength and power I need for the week. I am more peaceful and kind. I am blessed with greater love for my family.
At this same stake conference the speaker went on to say that the temple was a good idea of how comfortable we will be in Heavenly Fathers presence. If we feel at home in the temple we will feel at home in Heaven. And if not then we need to get ourselves in harmony with the temple.
One thing I love about all the blessings of the temple is Heavenly Father's desire to have everyone receive. No one is left out. The great work for the dead is so that everyone who will receive can. Heavenly Father is always inclusive and wants us all to be happy. No one left out no one left behind that wants to come.
